Flowers, especially wild plants, and butterflies have always been my passion. A few years ago I started painting botanical subjects seriously. At the same time my daughter decided to give up her business in lotions and soaps and go back to teaching. So, of course, I couldn’t let all her expertise be discarded, especially since she was making the best lotion I have ever used. It was a case of daughter teaching mother, a reversal of the usual arrangement. She has generously shared her expertise and some of her ideas about marketing to help me get started.
I love handling the oils and fragrances that come from plants from all over the world. I am learning all the time and enjoy the creativity of making new products. This year I made potpourri with roses and lavender from my own garden, and now I am growing calendulas to put into my soap.
